What is Cryotherapy

Our iNFUSION cryochamber disperses cold air throughout the cabin of the chamber and causes a rapid decrease in skin temperature dropping it by 30-50 degrees per second during the period of the 3-minute cryo session.

1What should I expect?
A three minute session that can be stopped short if needed where the last 30 seconds will feel the coldest. It is a dry nitrogen vapor that will cool the entire body.
2Am I eligible for Cryotherapy?
The following conditions are contraindications to whole body Cryotherapy: Pregnancy, severe untreated Hypertension (BP> 160/100), acute or recent myocardial infection, unstable angina pectoris, arrhythmia, symptomatic cardiovascular disease, cardiac pacemaker, peripheral arterial occlusive disease, venous thrombosis, acute or recent cerebrovascular accident, uncontrolled seizures, Raynaud’s Syndrome, fever, tumor disease, symptomatic lung disorders, bleeding disorders, severe anemia, infection, cold allergy, age less than 18 years (parental consent to treatment needed), acute kidney and urinary tract diseases.
3How often can I do Cryotherapy?
Depending on the condition of treatment, you should initially take 5-10 treatments in close succession to maximize your results. The only restriction is no sooner than 4-5 hours apart. After that you can do fewer treatments, spaced further apart to maintain and improve on your results. One to two times a week is recommended at this point.
4How will I feel after the treatment?
During each session the body releases endorphins, which are hormones that make you feel good and energetic. The mood-enhancing effects are immediate and they can last for days.
5Is the nitrogen vapor safe?
The vapor is composed of the same nitrogen that is in the air we breathe (78%). The heavier nitrogen vapor remains inside the chamber, so you breathe the air in the room.
6What do I wear in the Cryochamber?
Clean socks, gloves, and boots will be provided to everyone upon arrival and must be worn. Men need to wear one of the following: boxers, compression shorts, or wrap a towel around waist (towels are provided if needed). Women can wear undergarments, but it is not necessary. The important factor to remember is wearing DRY undergarments. Ask for towel if needed.
7What if I have claustrophobia?
Your head will be out of the Cryochamber throughout the entire session. The session can be stopped at anytime and the door can be opened immediately. The door to the sauna is never locked and a trained technician will be with you at all times.
8Is it okay to workout after a treatment?
Exercises is can be implemented to stabilize your body’s temperature as well as promote vasodilatation (expansion of the body’s blood vessels). The movement will induce more rapid vasodilatation of the vessels and capillaries and can extend the period of analgesia as well as feelings of well being.
9What are the risks of whole body Cryotherapy?
Whole body Cryotherapy is very well tolerated and has minimal risks: Fluctuations in blood pressure during the procedure by up to 10 points systolically (this effect reverses after the end of the procedure, as peripheral circulation returns to normal), allergic reaction to extreme cold (rare), claustrophobia, anxiety, activation of some viral conditions (cold sores) etc. due to stimulation of the immune system.
